Voyage to ParadiseSummer 2003Drinking planWe do. That's the plan. In addition to several hundred gallons of fresh water in the boat's tanks, we will lay on 10 cases of bottled water. Plenty of water seems to be the magic answer to feeling good all week. In addition we plan to procure a couple of cases of beer (Heinekin is the BVI beer of choice), a case or so of assorted wine, and assorted Coke, Diet Coke, Ginger Ale, and Tonic. Gin for martinis and G&Ts. Additional supplies are available at Marina Cay and in Soper's Hole; other sources are also possible in the event of a beverage crisis of any kind. Generally all beverages are included as community provisions. Except in cases of complete abstinence, we've found over the years that the effort of tracking results in more unhappiness than any other perceived inequities. Drink up! |
